Thank you for supporting The Clay Cottage Studio! Please read the following carefully before making your purchase, as our policies are specific to the nature of our products and services.
All Sales Are Final
All items purchased in-store or through our online shop are FINAL SALE. This means that no refunds, returns, exchanges, or credits will be issued for any reason except in the case of damage caused by us (The Clay Cottage Studio) after purchase.
Damages and Issues
We take great care in handling your pieces. However, if we lose or damage your piece, you are entitled to either a refund or store credit—your choice.
If you believe we have damaged your item, please contact us as soon as possible at theclaycottagestudio@gmail.com with photos and a description of the issue.
Please note: Damages caused by the customer, including improper handling, dropping, or misusing items, are not eligible for refund or credit.
Paint-Your-Own Pottery & Clay Items
By nature, handmade and painted pottery can yield unexpected results. While we strive to provide the best tools, materials, and firing process, we cannot control individual outcomes.

Paint-Your-Own Pottery: We do not issue refunds or credits if your piece does not turn out as you envisioned. This includes issues related to design, color blending, or overall appearance after firing.

Clay Items: If your clay piece was not properly scored, shaped, or formed—resulting in cracking, collapsing, or breaking—this is considered part of the learning and creation process and is not refundable or replaceable.
We appreciate your understanding of the creative risks involved in handmade art.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges under any circumstances.
Abandoned Items
Customers are notified when their items are ready for pickup. From the date of notification, customers have 30 days to pick up their items. After 30 days, items will be considered abandoned and may be disposed of, sold, or repurposed at our discretion. Abandoned items are not eligible for refunds, credits, or replacements.
Custom & Personalized Items
Custom or personalized pieces are non-refundable and non-returnable, as they are made to your specific request.
